Zen Seraphine

ZEN Seraphine (Zooey Seraphine) is an original music and sound journey artist, multi-instrumentalist, trauma-informed sound bath facilitator and meditation-music producer, based in Sarasota, Florida. She is the founder of The Sound Alchemy Method.

Music has been with her since childhood. Growing up amid immigration and separation from her parents, she found that instruments could hold what her voice could not. She taught herself piano from library books at six, earned scholarships to study, won competitions and performed with one of the finest high school orchestras in the country.

After a Master's in Applied Anthropology and work in humanitarian service, she went through burnout, anxiety and depression. At her lowest point she played a crystal singing bowl for what she thought was a few minutes; an hour had passed, and her racing thoughts had quieted. That morning set the direction of her work. She went on to study the neuroscience of sound and to train in trauma-informed mindfulness, NLP, somatic therapy and nada yoga.

Over the past decade she has facilitated sound experiences for thousands of people, from private sessions and retreats to corporate wellness events. Her sound baths are played live, with crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, rainsticks, harp, kora and violin among her instruments. Each session is composed rather than simply played, drawing on melody, harmony and emotional storytelling.

She also records sound meditations in her own studio, available on Insight Timer and YouTube, and trains practitioners through The Sound Alchemy Method, including a crystal singing bowl practitioner certification.
